Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors (VRCs)

Wildeck VRC Material Lifts

Wildeck Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors (VRCs) are the cost-effective, safe, and easy way to move materials from one elevation to another. They are ideally suited for the safe and efficient movement of materials to a mezzanine, rack storage system with catwalks, or any new or existing upper floor level.

  • Safety & Efficiency

Wildeck VRCs are safer than using a forklift truck or manpower to move materials between levels and are easier and less costly to operate and maintain than elevators or forklift trucks. VRCs are classified as a material conveyor and operators do not require OSHA forklift training.

  • Whatever your Load or Need

Whatever the load may be, moving materials just gets easier with a reliable and easy-to-install Wildeck VRC. They can safely transfer pallet loads, as well as carts and boxes that many not fit on a forklift.

  • Made in the USA

Wildeck VRCs are manufactured in the USA and meet ANSI / ASME B20.1 safety standards for conveyors and applicable MHIA guidelines.

The Cost-Effective Material Lifting Solution

While elevators are designed to move both passengers and freight, VRC lifts are designed to move only freight. Due to this important cargo distinction, VRCs are exempt from stringent elevator codes in many jurisdictions.

Vertical reciprocating conveyors must comply with ASME’s Safety Standard for Conveyor and Related Equipment (ASME B20.1-2018). This standard outlines the provisions for the construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of conveyors and conveying systems.

The goal of ASME B20.1-2018 is to ensure the safest possible operation of material lifts. However, this standard is far more relaxed than the regulations governing elevators. For VRC owners, this translates into less time and money spent on inspections, testing and routine maintenance programs.

Custom Material Lifts Designed for Your Load

A distinct advantage of VRC freight lifts is the degree to which they can be customized.

Since elevators are designed to safely move human passengers, regulations have been put into place that restrict the size, capacity and lifting speed of these devices. VRC lifts, in contrast, are designed to transport material-only, and are classified as material conveyors. This provides greater flexibility on design, allowing us to develop the best lifting solution for your material.

Automated Material Lifting Capabilities

Wildeck VRCs can be designed to efficiently integrate vertical lifting into your new or existing automated material handling or conveyor systems.

Automated VRCs typically consume less footprint than spiral conveyors and incline conveyors, and offer lifting speeds up to 350 feet per minute. Like all Wildeck material lifts, our automated solutions are designed and manufactured to meet ANSI/ASME – B20.1 “Safety Standard for Conveyors.”

The thing I love about the VRCs is that we’re building pallets for customers, and they can be very unstable due to their different shapes and sizes. The VRCs allow us to bring them down to the first level without any breakage. VRCs really made the best sense for us.
