Wildeck Celebrates Construction Milestone with Beam Signing

Waukesha – Wildeck, Inc., a leading manufacturer specializing in industrial steel work platforms, vertical lifts, safety guarding products and more, commemorated a significant milestone in the construction of its upcoming corporate office and innovation center. The milestone was celebrated with a topping-out ceremony, uniting stakeholders and project partners in a special beam signing event on Friday, December 15, signifying progress, unity, and collaborative efforts in the project’s development.

The decision to relocate the corporate headquarters to a larger facility stems from Wildeck’s expansion endeavors. The new corporate office and innovation center located at 1900 East North Street, replaces the current office at 405 Commerce Street in Waukesha. Spanning over 21.97 acres, the new campus exceeds three times the size of the existing facility, with construction led by VJS Construction Services.

“We are dedicated to building a world class campus that improves the working conditions for our Employee Owners while creating an environment that is dedicated to enhanced manufacturing through automation, new product innovation, and technology along with a hands-on experiential training facility for our customers,” said Dan Lorenz, President of Wildeck. “This new space will support and provide substantial growth potential for Wildeck to increase our business footprint and our relationships with customers and the community.”

The new facility, projected to open in mid-2024, prioritizes advanced manufacturing, incorporating further capital investments in powder coating, structural fabrication, metal processing technology, fiber laser, and robotic welding.

Katherine Kawczynski, Partner and Director of Architecture at VJS Construction Services, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “VJS Construction Services is excited to lead the construction of Wildeck’s new facility, enabling their expansion and continued manufacturing leadership. This collaboration demonstrates our commitment to supporting local companies, building with purpose, and fostering economic growth. Additionally, we’re thrilled to collaborate on a project that will generate employment opportunities for individuals residing in Waukesha and neighboring communities.”
