FoodState Expands Capacity with Custom Wildeck Mezzanine and VRC

FoodState, a subsidiary of Pharmavite and manufacturer of the MegaFood® supplement brand, recently expanded into a new facility to increase capacity and elevate its already high production standards. To maximize its new space, the company worked with Wildeck and its dealer, Bode Equipment Company, to design and install three custom mezzanines and a Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor (VRC).
Food and supplement handling facilities face stricter requirements than typical warehouse environments. This is why two of the three mezzanines for FoodState were designed with a galvanized finish to resist corrosion and minimize contamination risks, while the third was constructed of painted steel for a standard production area. The custom VRC, fitted with Hörmann SC1400 SEL automated roll-up doors, improved safety and optimized workflow between the ground and mezzanine level.
With all systems installed on schedule, FoodState immediately benefited from increased usable space and improved operational efficiency. The combined mezzanine and VRC solution not only supported very specific requirements but also provided long-term durability and consistency across the facility’s infrastructure. By sourcing its mezzanine and VRC from a single source, FoodState ensured matching finishes, minimized freight costs, and shortened lead times.
